I was hired at Nature’s Sunshine to lead the graphic design roll-out of the global rebrand. I worked one-on-one with the creative director and other director level employees on expanding the minimal brand book into packaging designs for 500+ SKUs, digital assets, merch, and more! Within my first couple of weeks as a new-hire, I commandeered the redesign of the children’s supplements, a project that the creative director and creative department manager had been stuck on for some time. My designs quickly took over the meeting room and the project was awarded to me. I expanded my design to more than 4 SKUs, including some in Chinese.
While there, I also owned and executed the brand development and design of multiple new SKUs including two labels and an outer packaging design + digital assets for a Mother’s Day LTO that sold out in 48 hours. In 2020, the Asian market requested a new product, so I worked alongside the senior product manager for beauty to develop and execute the design of a new Korean skincare brand with 8 individual SKUs.
There were many times when my creative director and/or manager would bring me onto a higher profile project that they were working on, but had either hit a wall or needed to pass off the project to move on to the next product. I was tasked with designing coordinating panels for the Solstic packaging based off of my manager’s front panel design. I also contributed to the logo and packaging design of a new brand for sports nutrition called “Aivia.”
