I was contacted by the creative director at mophie shortly after I left my position at Skullcandy to embark on a freelance career. Though they initially wanted to hire me full time, I instead opted for a shorter contract that focused on engaging with an audience they had yet to be able to reach. In my short stint with mophie, I incorporated and began execution of an evergreen social media campaign that focused on the “Gen Z Creative” and how mophie products support their lifestyle.
Test Content
By assembling a talented team including a photographer, three models, a graphic designer, and a copywriter, all converging on a downtown SLC location and a turnaround time of less than two weeks, I spearheaded the execution of a series of social media posts to shake up the content on their Instagram feed.
The objective was to create visually captivating and fashion-forward content tailored to the new target audience's preferences. The end result was a collection of astonishing, albeit unconventional, content that not only increased engagement by an impressive 30% but also provided invaluable insights for future endeavors in a similar vein. Back to School
I orchestrated a captivating 'back to school' photoshoot at a scenic sports field in southern Utah, featuring a spirited ensemble of 5 models. The narrative revolved around a group of friends creating positive vibes and bonding the night before school, set against the backdrop of a local high school's theater and stage that I gained access to through my photographer contact.
Each model was meticulously prepared with character sheets and styled according to their personas, leading to authentic and relatable moments captured throughout the shoot. From lively gatherings at the soccer goal to playful antics in the drama classroom and TikTok dance sessions on the auditorium stage, the campaign encapsulated the nostalgia and camaraderie of 'back to school' while resonating deeply with our audience, fostering a sense of connection and excitement. We also partnered with a local Cotton Candy shop, FLOSS, for content and an IG giveaway.
